Newcomer Kitchen will be taking over the Main Floor Lounge at the The Center for Social Innovation's beautiful century building on Spadina at Queen St. The evening will include cooking stations showcasing the food from newcomer women food entrepreneurs and lots of finger food provided by the newest students in our culinary entrepreneurship program. In addition we are launching a new initiative called The Great Canadian Cookie Exchange. There will be loads of cookies from around the world made from treasured family recipes. Mix and match yourself up a box and take it home to share with family and friends. Then make your own and pay it forward. We want to start a movement of sweet moments to share, start necessary conversations and celebrate our national diversity. (Cookies for the table welcome but not necessary)
