Do you make a special dish?
On Thursday evenings we invite guest cooks to come and prepare a dish that they love to make. At 6pm we open to the public and chefs serve 25-35* covers of their dinner, typically around $10-$14 for a main course. Chefs can add starters/sides/desserts a la carte to their menus as they like and/or create a prix fixe menu including multiple elements. While not required, I recommend having a vegetarian or vegan option on your menu if possible.
(*on average – it can vary a LOT, up or down – depending on the weather, the menu, the amount of co-promotion the cooks do, and the unknowable mysteries of the food universe.)
We start at 6pm and go until 9pm or we’re sold out. Chefs buy their own ingredients, have kitchen access that day from 3pm to prep & cook, and are expected to clean up what they use in the kitchen (we’ll look after customer dishes & the room). Cooks take home 60% of the selling price of their dishes plus half the tips.
