DISTIINCT’S INDELIBLE DINNER

We are seven saavy women from five different countries (Iran, India, Nigeria, Cameroon, Turkey) who believe that by blending a passion for cooking our traditional foods with global tastes, we are able to elevate our cuisines together with love… and bring to you a spectrum of cross-cultural flavours without borders.

The dinners below include all the menu items however each meal has either a MEAT MAIN or a VEGETARIAN MAIN option. When you order your meal ticket you will see the two different tickets. Each ticket is a single meal but it is a generous portion.

Nihayet’s Turkish Lentil Soup

A comforting savoury soup cooked with red lentils, turmeric, cumin and finished with fresh lemon juice and paprika oil.(GF)

Adeola’s Nigerian Plantain Fritters

“Crispy deep fried battered plantains is a childhood favourite. We always looked forward to when plantains will be in season to have a variety of dishes made with this versatile ingredient”

Hermine’s Cameroon Apple Coleslaw in Orange Vinaigrette

Crunchy, tangy and sweet, this shredded cabbage, carrots and apple salad is tossed in a delightful orange vinaigrette. (GF)

Mojgan’s Persian Beef Kotlet (Meat Option)

Fragrant tender patties are hand-shaped made with beef and potatoes, aromatics and spices then pan-fried. (GF)

Robin’s Punjabi Malai Kofta (Vegetarian Option)

Fried balls of potato and paneer nestled in a rich and creamy mild gravy cooked with sweet onions and tomatoes. Tangy, sweet and mild spicy, it pairs well with rice or roti. “The dish carries a sense of nostalgia, reminding me of festive celebrations and joyous gatherings with loved ones especially around Diwali.” (GF)

Farnaz’ Persian Saffron Barberry Rice (Zershk Polo)

Fluffy basmati rice is studded with sweet and tangy barberries. The rice is also infused with saffron, which gives it a beautiful golden colour and a subtle floral aroma. (GF)

Selma’s Turkish Chocolate Crying Cake

Who doesn’t like Chocolate Cake! This super moist version is topped with a whipped topping and chocolate sauce. You will cry because there it’s all gone way too soon…
