In Canada a cookie box might contain flavours from around the world and from down the street. Sweet, spicy, soft or crispy, healthy or oh so decadent: the variety pack. Something from everyone.
At Newcomer Kitchen we think that sharing cookies and the stories they evoke is a powerful way to bring people together and build communities and connections.
So here is our suggestion. Find a way to get together with people you know and maybe those you don’t know so well, bring or bake some cookies, box or bag them, eat them or give them away. Cookies and conversations can open new doors.
